Volunteer with NVA

Send Publicity Ideas or Media Contacts to NVA

Do you have experience in the public relations field?  Do you know a writer, film producer or celebrity? Have you seen a TV program we should appear on?  Do you have a creative idea for grabbing headlines?  If so, we’d love to hear from you!  Please submit your idea to Phyllis Mate.

Willing to Be Interviewed? Want to Tell Your Story?

NVA is frequently contacted by media professionals who are interested in covering vulvodynia.  Often times, they ask NVA to put them in contact with women who are suffering from the condition who are willing to tell their story.  If you are willing to be interviewed, please email Phyllis Mate and include a brief summary of your history with vulvodynia and how it has impacted your life.

Become a Support Contact

Many women find that speaking to others who have vulvodynia is both a good source of information and the best way to overcome the emotional isolation that can result from having this disorder. The NVA established a support network so women can speak with or email a person who understands what it’s like to live with vulvodynia. In some cities, there are also support groups that meet in person. If you are a member who is interested in serving as a support contact or organizing support meetings in your area, please email Michelle Living. (Not a member? Click here to join.) All prospective volunteers are interviewed over the phone.
